Pinterest Video Won't Download? 7 Common Fixes
Pasted a link and got an error, or nothing happened at all? It's almost always one of these seven things — most take ten seconds to fix.
The pin is an image, not a video
Not every pin on Pinterest is a video — plenty are static images or GIFs saved from other sites. If KlickPint says "no video found," open the pin on Pinterest itself and check whether it actually plays as a video with a progress bar. If it's just a still image, there's nothing to download.
The pin is private or on a secret board
KlickPint can only read publicly accessible pins — the same rule applies to every third-party tool, since private content requires being logged into the account that owns it. If the pin is on a secret board or the account is set to private, no downloader will be able to reach it.
You pasted a board or profile link instead of a pin link
Links like pinterest.com/username/board-name/ point to a whole board, not a single video. Open the specific pin you want, tap Share, and copy that pin's own link — it should contain /pin/ followed by a number.
The link got mangled during copy-paste
Some apps auto-add tracking parameters or accidentally include extra text when you copy a link. If paste isn't working, try manually selecting just the URL, or use Pinterest's Share → Copy Link option rather than copying from the address bar.
Pinterest is temporarily rate-limiting requests
Like any platform, Pinterest occasionally throttles automated-looking traffic for a few minutes at a time. If several pins in a row fail with a "service unavailable" message, that's what's happening — wait 5 minutes and try again rather than retrying immediately, which can extend the cooldown.
Your browser is blocking the clipboard or the download
Some browsers (especially in Private/Incognito mode, or with strict privacy extensions) block clipboard access, which breaks the Paste button — type or manually paste the link instead. If the download itself doesn't start, check whether your browser has file downloads disabled in its site settings for klickpint.online.
A VPN or firewall is interfering
Some corporate networks and VPN configurations block requests to video CDNs by default. If the video preview loads but the actual download hangs or fails, try switching off a VPN, or switching to mobile data, to see if the network is the cause.

Why does it say "Could not extract Pin ID"?
This means the link you pasted doesn't contain a recognizable pin identifier — usually because it's a board, profile, or search-results link rather than a specific pin. Open the exact pin and copy its link again.
The preview loads but the download button doesn't work — why?
This is almost always browser-related: an ad blocker or download-manager extension intercepting the request, or downloads disabled for the site in your browser's settings. Try a different browser to confirm, then check your extensions if the issue persists.
Does this happen more with certain types of pins?
Yes — pins with very short lifespans (recently posted, still processing on Pinterest's end) sometimes don't have their video variants fully generated yet. Waiting a few minutes after a video is first posted usually resolves this.
